A study by Prof. Nathan Brown, George Washington University

Palestinian education has gotten a great deal of attention because of allegations that it contained incitement and racist statements. Professor Nathan Brown of Georgetown University examined one aspect of Palestinian Education, the new textbooks issued by the PNA Department of Education, and found a marked improvement in the curriculum, contrary to publicity by right-wing Zionist groups. However, he found Palestinian education to be lacking as yet in the teaching of democracy and the use  of progressive methodology.  A detailed discussion of the study for viewing or download in PDF format is available by clicking here. The views expressed and the findings are those of Professor Brown and not necessarily those of MidEastWeb for Coexistence.
